Dan Bansah

Dan Bansah
Dan Bansah is the Chairman and Managing Director of Minecon Resources and Services Limited. Prior to joining MINECON in July 2018, Dan was Banro Corporation’s Head of Projects and Operations. Dan was Banro’s Vice President of Exploration from 2007 to 2013 and led a team of geologists in the discovery of over 17 million ounces of gold after exploring less than 16% of Banro’s prospective Twangiza – Namoya Gold Belt.
Before joining Banro in 2004, Dan was the Group Mineral Resource Manager with Ashanti Goldfields, with responsibilities for the coordination, auditing and compilation of Ashanti’s Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves in Africa. Whiles in Ashanti, Dan headed the modelling and evaluation team to appraise a number projects and operations in Africa, leading to their acquisition by the erstwhile Ashanti Goldfields.
Dan has over 30 years-experience in the gold mining industry in Africa. He has a MSc in Mineral Exploration with Distinction from Leicester University, UK. Dan is a Member and a Chartered Professional of AusIMM, a Fellow of the West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (WAIMM) and a Member of the Ghana Institute of Geoscientists. Dan is credited with numerous technical papers; both published and unpublished.
Chris Bawah

Chris Bawah
Chris is an Executive Director of Minecon Resources and Services Limited (MINECON), responsible for Geology and Mineral Exploration. Prior to joining MINECON in July 2018, Chris was the General Manager for Namoya Mining SA, (a subsidiary of Banro Corporation which is a Canadian Gold mining company with two wholly-owned producing mines (Twangiza and Namoya) and two wholly-owned advancing gold exploration projects and many other extensive gold exploration portfolios in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). He was involved in the redesign of the Namoya gold mine project and development to commissioning and operation. Up until July 2013, Chris championed the exploration project of the Twangiza mine from grass root as Chief Geologist, taking it through scoping, pre-feasibility and full-feasibility studies. He was part of the project development team and rose through the ranks of Mineral Resource Manager to Deputy General Manager when the mine went into production.
Before joining Banro Corporation in August 2004, Chris was an exploration Geologist with Ashanti Goldfields (now AngloGold Ashanti), and worked extensively on the company’s exploration projects in Ghana, Mali and Cote d’Ivoire, with a stint in Guinea.
Chris has 24 years-experience in the gold exploration and mining industry. He holds a BSc. (Hons) in Geology with Physics from the University of Ghana, an MBA (Finance) with MERIT from the University Leicester Business School, United Kingdom, and the Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (MMCC) from the Inspectorate Division of the Minerals Commission of Ghana. Chris is a Member and a Chartered Professional (Geology) of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM-CP), a Fellow of the West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (WAIMM), and a Member of the Ghana Institute of Geoscientists (GhIG).
Peter Kersi

Peter Kersi
Peter was the General Manager, Exploration for Banro Corporation, a Canadian Gold Mining and Exploration company with key assets in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Banro’s highly prospective 210km long land portfolio, the Twangiza – Namoya Gold Belt, includes two operating mines (Twangiza & Namoya mines), two advanced exploration projects (Lugushwa & Kamituga Project) and a vast prospecting permit (Banro Congo Mining Permits) including the newly discovered Kihazi Prospect.
At Banro, Peter’s diverse role, included managing exploration activities, resource management. He setup, managed and developed all the international standard QAQC protocols for the Banro in-house sample preparation laboratory which has process in excess of 0.5 million samples. Undertook several internal & external laboratory audits and managed Banro’s in-house grade control and exploration drill rigs.
Before joining Banro, Peter was Senior Resource Geologist with Ashanti Goldfields (now Anglogold Ashanti), for 9 years. At Ashanti Peter was involved in mineral resources modeling and estimation, generating acid drainage models and mineral resource assessment/ due diligence of Ashanti -interested properties. Peter worked on Projects in Guinea, Ghana, Tanzania, Burkina Fasso, Cote d’ivoire, Zimbabwe, DRC and Mali,
Peter had earlier worked as a Mine Geologist in Teberebie Goldfields, Tarkwa.
Peter Kersi has almost 24 years’ experience in Gold exploration and mining industry in Africa; He holds a BSc (Hons) Geology with Chemistry from the University of Ghana, a MBA (Project Management) from American Intercontinental University, USA. Peter is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM), a Fellow of the West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (WAIMM), and a Member of the Ghana Institute of Geoscientists (GhIG).
Celestine Baako

Celestine Baako
Celestine holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Cape Coast and a Master in Business Administration from University of Ghana. He has 25 years post qualification Professional Finance experience working in Senior Management positions in the Mining Industry. He has during this period worked with Anglogold Ashanti, Goldfields Ghana Limited, Endeavour Mining and Banro Corporation (D. R. Congo).
Celestine is Bilingual; fluent in both English Language and French. He has diverse experience in financial reporting in several international standards and has also expertise in designing and managing employee providence or pension fund scheme
Dr. Emmanuel Baffour Boakye

Emmanuel is a Senior Consulting Mining Engineer for Minecon and has been the General Manager of Quantum LC Company for the last four years. Emmanuel’s carrier as a mining engineer spans from Ghana’s State Gold Mining Corporation for 12 years.
He worked with AngloGold Ashanti Limited in Obuasi-Ghana, Geita-Tanzania and Iduapriem Mine in Ghana for 20 years and was the Senior Manager – Mining at Iduapriem Mine, until July 2012. Emmanuel
Gordon France
Database, GIS and IT Manager
Gordon France
Gordon France is the Database, GIS and IT Manager at Minecon. Before joining Minecon, Gordon was the Group GIS/IT/Database manager of Banro Corporation, where he was instrumental in the implementation of GIS/Database management systems for Banro Corporation and later headed the IT and GIS department of the company.
Prior to joining Banro Corporation, Gordon headed the Cartographic department of Ashanti Exploration Ltd, the exploration arm of Ashanti Goldfields Company (now Anglogold Ashanti Ltd). Gordon was instrumental in developing the GIS database for Southwestern Ghana for Ashanti Exploration.
He had earlier worked in Survey Department of Ghana where he was instrumental in creating the digital database of Ghana.
Gordon has about 30 years’ experience in GIS and IT. He holds a MSc. in GIS and an MSc. In Information Technology.
Fareed Majeed

Fareed Majeed
Fareed Majeed is the Exploration Manager of Minecon responsible for executing Minecon’s Field Exploration programs. Prior to working for Minecon, Fareed worked on Projects in Ghana, Liberia, Mauritania and Senegal for companies such as Chifeng Golden Star (Wassa and HBB), Adamus Resources, Anglogold Iduapriem, Golden Star Prestea Bogoso, ArceloMittal Mining SA, Jonah Capital, Liberia, Romex Mining and Castle Peak Mining.
Fareed lectured at University of Mines and Technology for 3 years (2017 to 2020) as a Technical Instructor in the Geological Engineering Department. Fareed has about 4 peer-reviewed publications (Elsevier Journal) on the use of Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning) for geochemical grade prediction. He has a proven track record of almost two decades in the Exploration and Mining Industries. Fareed is a member of Ghana Institution of Geoscientsits (MGhIG), Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (MAIG), and Associate of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AAusIMM).
